Ideally, the company that you hire should be someone you know or someone who has successfully installed a fence or outdoor project for a friend or neighbor.
A good fence contractor and installer:
- Is well known and easily reached by phone or in-person.
- Has a physical showroom that you can visit to inspect materials and samples.
- Has an established reputation.
- Will provide you with a detailed specification page showing the design and the materials to be used for your new fence.
- Will show you photos of previous installations and offer names of past customers for references.
- Will work with you to understand your needs and create designs for your requests.
- Will not ask you to pay for the entire job in advance.
- Will never pressure you to sign a contract.
